About us

Made in Provence is owned by Christine Vidal, a French national who was born in Provence (South-Eastern France), and moved to London in 1988.

Christine has always been passionate about her native Provence and believes that she has found a niche market in the UK to promote traditional handmade specialities, scented gifts, pottery and more all produced in a small area of Provence at the foot of the Mont Ventoux Mountain.

Thanks to its micro-climate, this region is renowned for its fine food, lavender based products, wine and other produce that draw their exceptional flavours from its particular soil.

Made in Provence has the dual purpose of introducing a hand-picked collection of the finest food and produce, sourced from small local artisans to the discerning English palate. It also has the purpose of promoting amazing local producers, some of which are good friends, who have been making wholesome products we used to eat as children, which are still made in the same traditional manner without any of the modern chemicals or additives.
